MANILA, Philippines — Actress and content creator Alex Gonzaga surprised fans and supporters after revealing that she is finally expecting her first child with husband Mikee Morada.
The emotional announcement was shared on Alex’s social media account on Thursday, where she posted a heartfelt video featuring moments from her journey, including clips from her previous miscarriages before ending with a glimpse of her growing baby bump.
In her caption, Alex opened up about the pain she and Mikee experienced throughout their nearly six years of marriage.
She revealed that they had gone through three miscarriages but continued to hold on to their faith despite the heartbreaking losses.
According to Alex, they were already preparing for in vitro fertilization (IVF) when they unexpectedly received what she described as a blessing—a natural pregnancy.
“We never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” Alex wrote, expressing gratitude for the answered prayers they had long been waiting for.
The actress also thanked everyone who stood by them during their difficult journey toward parenthood.
She shared that becoming “mommy and daddy” is a dream that has finally come true for them.
Following her announcement, Alex immediately received an outpouring of love and congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities, influencers, friends, and fans online.
Among those who greeted the actress were Donnalyn Bartolome, Zeinab Harake, Steven Bansil, Senyora, Luis Manzano, Alex’s husband Mikee Morada, and her sister Toni Gonzaga.
Netizens also flooded the comments section with warm messages, prayers, and words of encouragement for the couple, with many expressing happiness after learning about Alex’s long and emotional journey toward motherhood.
Alex and Mikee got engaged in 2020 before tying the knot the following year.
In 2025, Mikee publicly revealed that Alex had suffered another miscarriage, marking the third loss experienced by the couple after similar heartbreaks in 2021 and 2023.
The couple is now asking for continued prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy as they prepare to welcome their first baby.
