BOTOLAN, ZAMBALES — The Drum and Lyre Competition of the Dinamulag Festival 2026 came alive with energy and excitement as it gathered young performers from across the province at the Botolan People’s Plaza.
Cheers and applause filled the venue as 11 participating schools showcased their musical precision, synchronized movements, and vibrant performances. Each group demonstrated months of preparation, reflecting discipline, teamwork, and a shared goal of bringing pride to their respective communities.
After a competitive showdown, Cabangan Elementary School from Cabangan was declared the champion. Botolan North Integrated School of Botolan secured second place, while San Antonio Central Elementary School from San Antonio placed third.
The event was attended by Jun Ebdane, along with Congresswoman Nanay Bing Maniquiz, municipal mayors, vice mayors, provincial officials, representatives from the Schools Division Office of Zambales, and other government personnel. Strong support was also shown by parents, school heads, district officials, and community members.
The Provincial Government of Zambales extended its heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants. Organizers expressed hope that the competition would continue to inspire the youth to nurture their talents, strengthen unity, and take pride in their identity as Zambaleños.
The Drum and Lyre Competition remains one of the most anticipated highlights of the Dinamulag Festival, celebrating not only musical excellence but also the spirit of community and youth empowerment.
