The Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is set to release the official results of the 2026 Undergraduate Science and Technology Scholarship Examination via a live announcement on its official YouTube channel on May 30.
DOST-SEI announced that a total of 97,617 Grade 12 students took the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination last February 21 to 22 and March 7 to 8, 2026, across 222 testing centers nationwide.
The scholarship program aims to support deserving Filipino students who wish to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Qualified applicants will receive financial assistance that includes tuition subsidy, monthly living allowance, book allowance, transportation allowance, and other educational benefits throughout their college studies.
According to DOST-SEI, a total of 8,500 incoming first-year college students are expected to qualify for the scholarship this year due to budget limitations.
Based on the previous year’s data, the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination usually records a passing rate of around 10 to 13 percent. In 2025, 10,907 out of 84,518 examinees qualified for the scholarship, equivalent to a 12.90 percent passing rate.
The agency also advised examinees to monitor the official DOST-SEI social media pages for the complete list of qualifiers, guidelines, and other announcements regarding the release of results and the scholarship processing.
