SB19, the Philippines’ leading P-pop powerhouse known for their explosive performances, self-produced music, and record-breaking concerts, continues to push the boundaries of Filipino artistry as they secure back-to-back appearances at two of the world’s biggest music festivals—Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 and Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan.
The group’s growing international recognition was further amplified after Summer Sonic CEO Naoki Shimizu reportedly flew to the Philippines to personally witness SB19’s “Simula at Wakas: Kick-Off Concert” at the Philippine Arena last May 31 to June 1, 2025. The two-night concert became a historic milestone as SB19 became the first Filipino act to gather a total of more than 110,000 attendees across a two-night run, and also the first Filipino act to completely sell out the Philippine Arena for two consecutive days.
Shortly after, SB19 once again delivered another landmark moment with their “Wakas at Simula: Trilogy Finale Concert” at the SMDC Festival Grounds last April 18, gathering more than 100,000 attendees in just one night, further solidifying their reputation as one of the most dominant live acts in the Philippines.
Deeply impressed by their performance and global potential, Naoki Shimizu extended an invitation for SB19 to join Summer Sonic 2026. On March 25, the group was officially announced as part of the festival’s initial lineup, confirming their place on one of Japan’s most prestigious music stages.
SB19’s global expansion continues as they are set to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026 on the Allianz Stage this July 30, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM (Chicago time), or 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM in the Philippines, marking another major step into the Western festival circuit.
In Japan, SB19 will also take on Summer Sonic 2026 with performances in Osaka on August 14 at the Massive Stage and in Tokyo on August 15 at the Pacific Stage, bringing their signature sound and high-energy performances to an even wider international audience.
From record-breaking concerts in the Philippines to some of the world’s biggest festival stages, SB19 continues to redefine what P-pop can achieve on the global stage.
